Ryland Brooks — The Donald is Gone — But His Judges Live On.
Yes, the Donald is gone. Except of course in Florida. Where for way too many(You thought I was going to say “the majority”, didn’t you?) he remains “Our President.” (Does the climate effect mental clarity? — We wait expectantly for the result of that research. )
We’re all aware that the Donald has been a bad boy. A very bad boy. In every way possible. (Some of which are probably known only to comrade Putin and the KGB videographers.)
We know 23 Women have accused him of doing things to them they didn’t want done.
We know the State Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Latetica James has got the Trumpster in her sights.
Likewise Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance. He in long and hot pursuit of the Donald’s tax details. (“Informed sources” — as Time Magazine would say -confirm he already has some of them. As he waits for a SCOTUS decision for the whole enchilada.)
And although it’s probably not “top of mind” for most of us, we know that the Donald and his partner in slime, Mitch “the Witch” McConnell have “appointed “ 9 judges rated as “unqualified” by the American Bar Association.
But for the “appointers” they are very qualified. That “quality” is demonstrated Republician leanings.
And it is those judges that Trump hopes are his insurance policy against all who want to rain on his legal parade.
While he is, among other things, a narcissistic meglomanic, the “Mad King” (to use A.O.C.’s description) is a “looker.”
Someone who is always looking out. Looking out to the future.
And more precisley, like every good mob boss -”looking out for №1.”
You may recall that the Donald’s hopes for a Supreme Court victory in his “can’t charge a sitting president” case were dashed big time on the legal rocks when five judges shot him down. Including two of “his Judges” — Neil Gorsuch and the demonstrably guilty sexual predator, Brett Cavanaugh.
So, bottom line: The Donald’s “insurance policy” is not a slam dunk.
Like all of our life experiences, “you win some, you lose some.”
I’m thinking that if there really is a “law of karma”, no amount of judges will save the Donald’s ass.
